FAQs

  • Although the technology and pricing are similar to other distributors, there are three main things which we believe give Wings Access the edge. 1) Wings Access is the first distributor in the world to specialise in Christian & Gospel Music, pitching the top releases directly to the genre’s playlist editors at all of the major DSPs. 2) Wings Access is a fraction of the size of our competitors, allowing us to care for and Quality Check each release and give our artists access to a dedicated Artist Support Team ready to answer your questions. 3) We give 10% of OUR revenue to Join Bands Not Gangs meaning your music isn’t just sounding good, it’s doing good.

  • Yes! We don’t own ANY percentage of your music, You grant Wings Access a non-exclusive license to distribute your release(s) to the retailers you select.

  • No, 100% of the royalties we receive go straight to the artist. The only time Wings Access takes a percentage is when a Pro Tier artists track is chosen for Editorial Pitching, this percentage is a 10% commission on the streaming royalties from that specific track. Artists can opt out of playlist pitching if they don’t want the 10% commission applied.

  • Upgrade to the Wings Access Pro Tier & you will benefit from:

A guarantee of your releases being reviewed and considered by the Wings A&R team for inclusion in our priority playlist pitching communications, which go direct to the heads of the Christian & Gospel editorial teams at all the major streaming platforms

Opportunities for Your releases being eligible to inclusion in our ‘Releases of the Week’ social media posts alongside occasional additional social media promotion

A free copy of our popular Digital Release Playbook eCourse (usually £99)

All this for an annual upgrade fee of just £50

From within your account simply click on the Pro Tier link on the top navigation bar.

We pick the standout tracks every week to be pitched for editorial play listing on major DSPs. This does not guarantee editorial play listing. Wings will collect 10% commission from the streaming revenue of any track chosen and pitched by the Wings team.

  • Artists must deliver releases to Wings Access at least four weeks before their desired release date and pitch their tracks themselves through the Spotify for Artists and Amazon Music for Artists pitch tools no less than two weeks before release date to become eligible. If your track is selected for playlist pitching by our team, we will be in touch to let you know and to collect any additional information we need.

  • We believe there is great value in being able to delivery our artists music direct to the decision makers at the music companies. The decision on what they choose to do with the music delivered is down to them and can rely on multiple factors. We do put great credence in awareness and understand thats a key part of an artists’ journey.

Pitching does not guarantee playlisting and neither Wings or the streaming platforms are able to give feedback on releases or pitches.

  • You can contact the support team through your Wings Access Dashboard and we’ll respond as quickly as we can.

  • There are two main places you can upload your lyrics to be shown on stores. Instagram pulls its lyrics from musixmatch.com and Apple Music uses the service genius.com. If you register an account with these services you can upload your lyrics and make them available to users on these services.

  • Thanks to blanket agreements in place with music rights holders, it is possible for artists to release cover versions of songs for streaming, without needing a license or permission. The only scenario in which a cover license is required, is if you would like your release to be available for download i.e on iTunes. To make the process easier for you, we have partnered with Easy Song. Once you have obtained your license, email it to artist support so we can make the track available for download.

  • We have a simple and straight forward process in place to allow artists to move music currently distributed through another company, to us, without losing any streaming data. This allows artists to have all their music in one place, paying one subscription, without having hidden fees and percentages taken out of their royalties. We’ve put together a step by step guide here.
